List of Interactive Route Maps
The links below will take you to maps from bicycle tours we have completed since 2013. You can access two kinds of maps:
Interactive Google Maps. Click on the links to “Interactive Google Maps” below to access maps that show the route we took as a line, with icons marking all of the places we spent the night along the way. In some cases, clicking on the map icons will take you to pictures and descriptions of the hostels/campgrounds/hotels where we stayed. These maps are best used online when you have a good internet connection.
Downloadable, Ride with GPS, GPX/KML/TCX/FIT Files. The links below for downloadable files take you to our maps online via Ride with GPS. These maps can be downloaded from Ride with GPS for use offline by many different programs and devices, including the Ride with GPS app which we found to be one of the best for our needs. If the files load slowly or are difficult to use on your device, it is best to break the files into smaller segments of 200-300 miles (320-480 km). We found that smaller segments worked well, even on 6 year old iPhones. When downloading a route from Ride with GPS, you need to choose the format (GPX, KML, TCX, or FIT) that works best with your device or the mobile app you are using. Click on any link below to access the desired map(s).
