Erie Canalway Bicycle Tour, 2017

It’s an amazing feeling to bike across an entire state. In New York, the ride is even more enjoyable because you can bike from Buffalo (on Lake Erie, in the west) to Albany (on the Hudson River) on the Erie Canalway - a 365 mile trail, of which 75% is on dedicated bike paths. The route is very historic. It follows one of the most important transportation links in the United States during the 1800’s, and the canal is still used today. We cycled the entire length of the Canalway on a self-supported bike tour. Check out some of the photos from our adventure.
